Day of Infamy Book Review In his masterpiece book, Lord gives an intriguing of the day Japanese troops invaded America's Pearl Harbor. He captures the human drama that ensued during the incidence with detail of the spies behind the action. He also explains the operations carried out by the Japanese crew, the circumstances that faced the American stricken crew, as well as the fear that engulfed the American civilian society. Following the creation of the drama on this fateful strike on Pearl Harbor, it can be deduced that indeed that was a day that would subsist in infamy across American generations.
Lord had the viewpoint that American naval base and the vigilance of American troops underwent test on the fateful day, Sunday, December 7, 1941. The book attempts to document an account of the epic events of the day that would remain engraved in American history. In describing the events of the attack on Pearl Harbor, Lord made enhanced travels and gathered information from individuals who witnessed the most fascinating events during the fateful day. In addition, he interviewed members of the Japanese troops involved in the attack. He collected vast information on the events that unfolded and carried out a detailed research on the attack.
In support of his thesis, Lord provides of human drama that unfolded during the fateful attack as evidence. He described the human drama through experiences that both the American and Japanese sides went through. Through interviews, discussion and sessions with the affected, Lord presents sufficient evidence that indeed that was a histrionic event.
